A wild police pursuit in LA had police arrest an East Orange woman who also attempted to steal their vehicle at the conclusion of the pursuit.
According to LA authorities, the 30-year-old East Orange resident has been charged with leading Los Angeles police on a 20-mile pursuit in a stolen vehicle — and then trying to steal the police car that had given chase.
Police said, Khianna Reynolds stole the Toyota Tacoma from a woman who had been unloading groceries from in on Sunday, the Los Angeles County before leading cops on a chase from Sherman Oaks to Chatsworth.
According to authorities during the pursuit, the driver drove through medians and grass attempting to make a fast getaway.
Police said at the conclusion of the pursuit, the woman exited the stolen vehicle with her hand up then made a move to jump into their marked cruiser shortly before being tackled by several police officers.
Reynolds was charged Tuesday with carjacking, grand theft auto, driving or taking a vehicle without consent, fleeing a pursuing peace officer’s motor vehicle while driving recklessly and attempted driving or taking of a law enforcement vehicle without consent — all felony charges in California according to authorities.
