A 17-year-old Paterson teen succumbed to injuries sustained after crashing his moped Wednesday.
Crews were called to the area of Haledon Avenue and 2nd Street, were the unidentified teen appears to have lost control of the moped, crashing into garbage cans.
The teen who was not wearing a helmet, suffered severe head trauma, according go police.
The teen was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Paterson Police Department's Traffic Division is investigating the crash.
