An early morning armed carjacking in Newark has police searching for a suspect.
Police responded to the area of Fabyan Place and Vorhees Street shortly before 7:45 a.m. where officers located the victim who reported that a black male suspect approached armed with a gun and demanded the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a light skin black male who was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans when he fled in the victim's 4-door 2000 Lexus 300.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "J78-GJU"
There were no immediate reports of physical injuries.
