Police in Little Falls are looking for the occupants of a vehicle that led them on an early morning pursuit through several towns.
Reports of theft of gasoline from the Valero gas station located in the 1700 block of U.S. Route 46 had police respond to that location in minutes where officers were advised of a white BMW that had fled the scene before paying for gas.
Police units patrolling the area spotted the vehicle nearby and attempted to pull it over when the vehicle began to speed away.
Officers followed the vehicle to the eastbound side of Route 3 in Clifton then on the southbound side of Route 21 according to reports.
Police ceased following the vehicle near exit 7 of Route 21 when the suspected vehicle reached high speeds reports said.
The vehicle is being reported as a white BMW X3 with reported NJ license plate numbers "U25-CZY" that was reported stolen out of Wayne.
There were no injuries reported.
