The body of a man that was pulled from the water under the Bayonne Bridge on the Staten Island side last week has been identified as Michael B. Ortega, 21, of Jersey City.
Authorities said Ortega went missing in January and was last seen by his family in mid January.
His body was recovered by the New York Police Department's Harbor Unit at about 8:15 a.m. on March 9th, according to reports.
There were no signs of trauma, the Staten Island Advance reported, and Ortega's death is not considered suspicious, pending toxicology results of an autopsy, the report said.
Authorities said Ortega was identified through dental records.
