UPDATE: Home Invasion Leaves Man Shot in the Head in Lakewood

A home invasion that happened inside an apartment at a housing complex in Lakewood had a man suffer serious injuries and a suspect arrested Monday evening according to authorities.

Reports of shots fired sent police to the complex located on Eisenhower Street at around 9:15 p.m. where they located a a 32-year-old man, suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the head, Authorities said.

According to authorities, while emergency medical personnel were treating the victim's injury at the house, three men barged inside the house and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities said, witnesses reported hearing a gunshot before the three men ran from the house.

The victim was tranported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he suffered non-life threatening injuries.

After a search of the complex, cops arrested the man who was identified as Terence Ousley, 27, of Asbury Park, and charged him with trespassing in the complex.

After a thorough investigation, authorities determined that Ousley was one of the three men who had entered the Eisenhower Street home, police said.

His charges were then escalated to attempted murder, burglary, robbery, possession of a handgun and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose with a bail of $150,000
