Newark -- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor's Homicide / Major Crimes Task Force and the Newark Police are investigating the fatal shooting of Brunton Bissesar Singh, 55, of Newark.
Authorities said shortly before 6 a.m. today, Singh was walking to work in the 400 block of Roseville Ave when he was shot.
Authorities said at this time no arrests have been made.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
