An active search for a man accused attempting to rob an Elizabeth bank this morning has authorities investigating.
Sometime around 10 a.m., a report of a bank robbery at the PNC Bank located at 928 South Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth had police responding to the scene.
Initial reports indicated that a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet tall, 130lbs., entered the branch and demanded money.
He fled without any proceeds.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the bank.
