Police continue to investigate a stabbing at Menlo Park Mall early this morning that sent a Carteret man to the hospital within injuries.
The unidentified Carteret man, 23, was walking to his car after leaving Fox & Hound sports bar sometime around 2 a.m.
The man started his car and walked towards his friends to say goodbye. However, as he turned around a group of men were standing near his running car. When the argument ensued, one of the men took out a folding knife and stabbed the victim.
According to police, the Carteret man was driven to JFK Medical Center in Edison hospital by a friend. The victim was then transferred to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
The stabbing remains under investigation.
