A firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a raging four alarm blaze that broke out in Newark's South Ward late last night.
Authorities said at least 20 people were displaced after heavy fire ripped through a row of homes in the 300 block of West Runyon Street.
Heavy smoke and flamers brought firefighters to the South Ward community at around 8:30 p.m. where crews found the flames coming from the roof of one home and extending to another.
Authorities said fifrfighters took nearly 2 hours to bring the blaze under control with no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross was on scene Sunday to help several families find temporary shelter.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for a minor injury according to authorities.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
