An armed carjacking at gunpoint that happened in Newark has police searching for a suspect.
Police responded to the 200 block of South 11th Street at around 3 p.m. Friday on reports of an armed carjacking in progress.
Units arrived to the scene where they located the victim who reported to them that a black male suspect pointed a weapon and demanded his vehicle at that location.
The carjacked vehicle is reported as a grey 2010 Chevy Malibu with NJ Temporary tags.
The suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing a hoodie, black hat, and blue jeans.
There were no physical injuries reported..
