Kitchen Fire at Linden White Castle Quickly Extinguished

Linden firefighters made quick work of a kitchen fire at The White Castle in Linden this morning, officials said.

At approximately 11 this morning, the Linden Fire Department responded to a fire at The White Castle Located on the 2000 Block of E. Edgar Road.

Upon arrival, fire crews found a fire in the fryer area of the kitchen.

The patrons and workers of the establishment safely evacuated the building while engine companies quickly knocked down the fire containing it to the one area of the kitchen.

The ladder company was able to do a primary search ensuring that no one was in fact in the building.

Linden Fire Deputy Chief William Hasko stated “Due to the quick response, we were able to extinguish and contain the fire to one small area. However, there was considerable damage and the restaurant will remain closed at this time.”

There were no reported injuries and the fire is under investigation.
