Police Continue to Search for Newark Resident Wanted for Snow Shovel Shooting

The Newark Police Department’s Fugitive Apprehension and Cease Fire Shooting Response teams are seeking the public’s help in locating 33-year-old Taquanah Martin who is being sought on an outstanding warrant issued for her involvement in a shooting earlier this year.

The shooting occurred on January 26, 2016 in the 100 block of Lindsley Street where a 38-year-old Newark resident sustained a gunshot wound following an argument with the suspect over a snow shovel.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
