The 2013 Miss New Jersey winner involved in a crash last week, succumbed to her injuries early this morning.
Cara McCollum, 24, of Margate, last week was traveling in a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible on the northbound side of State Highway 55 of Route 55 in Salem County at approximately 6:53 p.m. when the car spun of the road striking a tree at mile marker 38.4.
McCollum's vehicle continued and struck two other trees, ultimately ending at the bottom of an embankment.
She was rushed to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where she died today at 4:31 a.m., according to a Facebook group, 'Prayers for Cara'.
According to authorities McCollum, who was not wearing her seatbelt, at the time of the crash.
