A vehicle that refused to stop for police in Newark had authorities follow that vehicle through several neighborhoods in the city's South Ward late last night.
Officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle near Elizabeth Avenue when the occupants in the vehicle reportedly sped off leading cops on a high speed chase around the city's South Ward according to reports.
A police helicopter hovered over the city keeping an eye on the vehicle that raced around parts of Clinton Avenue, Elizabeth Avenue, and Bergen Streets where it ultimately came to a crashing halt in the area of Hunterdon Street and 18th Avenue.
The suspects rammed a NJ State Police vehicle then bailed from the car initiating a foot pursuit that involved State and Newark Police officers.
Multiple police units chased down, arrested two suspects a short distance away.
The suspects' vehicle and the State Police vehicle was towed from the scene.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
