A set of overnight armed robberies that happened in Jersey City has police searching for a suspect.
Police are looking for a black male who is approximately 6'1" and was last seen wearing dark clothing when he pulled off several armed robberies in the city overnight.
The first known incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. near the Holland Garden Apartments located in the 400 block of US-1&9.
According to the victim, the suspect approached armed with a gun and demanded personal possessions.
The victim reportedly handed over cash and other personal items shortly before the suspect fled the scene.
At around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Newark Avenue and Liberty Avenue, a couple walking in the area had the suspect approach them armed with a gun when he demanded personal possessions.
The pair handed over several items, then the suspect ran from the scene with the victims' possessions according to reports.
There were no immediate reports of injuries in either incidents.
