Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi announced a jury has convicted a Voorhees man in connection with the 2012 fatal stabbing of his neighbor.
David P. Giordano, 65, was found guilty today of aggravated manslaughter in the death of 52-year-old Michael Taylor.
At the trial, Assistant Prosecutor Nevan Soumilas presented evidence and testimony showing Giordano fatally stabbed Taylor during a confrontation on June 5th, 2012. The dispute occurred after Giordano, who lived above the victim on the 3000 block of Sherry Court in Voorhees, dumped water onto pet birds that Taylor kept on his porch because the birds were chirping too loudly. When the victim confronted the defendant, Giordano stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
Giordano, who faces 15 to 30 years in prison, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 14th.
