An Elizabeth Chinese restaurant robbed Sunday has police investigating after shots were fired.
Police were called to the Golden Garden Chinese Restaurant at 229 Broad St. around 2:20 a.m. for an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, police were advised that three black males armed with handguns entered the restaurant and fired a shot into the wall as they one of the men demanded money from register and to hand over the pack of cigarettes.
According to police, a 21-year-old customer give was also robbed of unspecified personal items.
The suspects were last seen wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, while the other two wearing dark clothing. as they fled with about $500 in cash.
A second shot was fired into the ceiling as the men fled on Broad Street.
