Police in Belleville arrested a 34-year-old man after police seized more than two dozen pounds of marijuana at his high street home.
Officers were alerted that suspicious packages were being delivered to a High Street address shortly before 2:30 p.m.
During surveillance conducted by officers, a man was seen picking up packages and walk away from the home.
Approximately 28 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of about $40,000, was seized from the man.
The man, was later identified as Philip Peterson, 34, of Belleville.
Peterson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within a 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Bail was set at $200,000.
