An overnight pursuit that began in Linden ended in a crash in Elizabeth has authorities investigating.
Linden Police followed a vehicle to the intersection of Rahway Avenue at Grove Street at around 1 a.m. where the vehicle crashed, causing several occupants to become trapped inside the vehicle.
Elizabeth firefighters and rescue crews rushed to the scene where several occupants were extricated from the vehicle and transported to area hospitals.
The most seriously injured victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark suffering life threatening injuries.
The circumstances behind the incident and why the vehicle and it's occupants were wanted, is under investigation.
