Newark's Mayor is expected to lift the travel ban in the city at around 1 p.m. according to city officials.
The mayor had extended the ban that was imposed on late Saturday evening after several emergency vehicle were blocked by stranded and abandoned vehicles around the city.
New Jersey Transit has resumed service with delays in Newark as of 11 a.m.
