An East Orange man along with three others accused of robbing a man at a Secaucus hotel, appearance in court yesterday via video link.
Police responded to the Hyatt Place hotel in the Harmon Meadow shopping complex Saturday for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, the 54-year-old male victim, told police he went to the hotel to receive a massage but instead was robbed of $200 by three men and a female.
Responding officers quickly apprehended the four suspects as they attempted to leave in a taxi.
The suspects were later identified as Casey A. Medley 24, of Stamford, Conn., Shawn Harris, 21, of East Orange, Desinea S. Dudley, 26, of Bronx, and Gregory A. Jackson, 28, of Brooklyn.
All four were remanded to Hudson County jail.
The bail for Medley, Dudley and Harrison was set at $50,000 cash or bond.
Jackson - who allegedly retraining the victim while the other suspects robbed him - was additionally charged with restraining the victim, "unlawfully in circumstances exposing him to the risk of serious bodily injury" and his bail was set at $75,000 cash or bond.
Further investigation revealed that the victim contacted "an escort-type operation" for a massage on but instead was robbed by the four suspects, said Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor John Wojtal.
The suspects appeared in court via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
