Newark Kearny

A 24-year-old Newark woman accused of recording a 16-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Kearny store without consent, made her first appearance via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny, Friday.

According to the complaint, Rashonda Solomon, was arrested along with her co-defendants - Katina L. Robertson, 19, and Jasmine Williams, 20 - after they allegedly recorded a 16-year-girl while she was using a bathroom at the Walmart store in Kearny on Thursday.

The trio was charged after they allegedly provided handwritten statements "implicating themselves" and one of three defendants also admitted deleting the recorded videos before police arrived.

Officials also noted that a warrant for Solomon's arrest was issued in Newark for charges of simple assault with a bail of $5,000.

Robertson and Williams were both charged with conspiracy and invasion of privacy, according to police.
