Police are investigating separate overnight stabbings that left two people injured in Newark.
The first incident was reported around 12:13 a.m. in the area of Riverview Ct.
At that location, police found a person suffering from a stab wound to the leg. The victim was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Shortly after, police responded to reports of stabbing in the area of Ludlow Street.
Upon arrival, police found an unconscious person suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital.
A full investigation is underway by the Newark Police Department.
