An armed carjacking at gunpoint that happened late last night in Newark is under investigation.
Police responded to reports of a carjacking at gunpoint that happened in the 100 block of Fairmount Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Officers located the victim who reported to them that three black male suspects approached armed with a gun and demanded his gray Honda Accord.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "W47-FJJ".
The suspects were reportedly accompanied by a black 2010-2012 Nissan Sentra.
There were no physical injuries immediately reported.
