A violent carjacking that turned into an assault in Newark has police searching for a suspect this evening.
Police are looking for a a black male who is approximately 5'7" tall that violently attacked a woman in the 60's block of Van Ness Place earlier this evening.
The suspect reportedly approached the woman and demanded her purple colored Jaguar before punching her in the face.
The suspect was able to get away with the woman's vehicle.
It is not immediately known if the suspect was armed with a weapon.
