Union County authorities are investigating a crash that left one person seriously injured in Hillside overnight.
First responders rushed to the 300 block of Conant Street shortly before midnight on reports of a crash with injuries.
Rescue crews arriving to the scene located a car that collide with a tree with one person inside.
A female victim was pulled from the vehicle and transported to the hospital where her injuries as of early this morning has only been reported as life threatening.
It is not immediately known what caused the woman to lose control of the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
