There is an active search underway for several armed robbery suspects that held up a pharmacy in Elizabeth then within minutes later, they robbed a gas station, both at gunpoint.
According to authorities, at around 3:30 p.m. three black males walked into the drug store located in the 1100 block of East Jersey Street and announced a robbery.
Two of the suspects were reportedly armed with weapons when the pointed the guns to the head of a clerk and demanded cash from the register.
The suspects took an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing the scene in a light blue BMW with a partial NJ Temporary tag "005".
Within minutes after the drug store robbery, the suspects r0bbed at gunpoint a gas station located in the 400 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue where they took several hundred dollars from the attendant.
The suspects are described as juveniles at this time.
UPDATE 4:05 p.m. Suspects fitting the same description attempted an armed robbery in the 400 block of West Market Street.
