A jogger was struck by a car Thursday night, prompting police to close the area of Faitoute Avenue at W. Colfax Avenue for investigation.
On Dec. 24 at approximately 5:38 a.m., police responded to Faitoute Avenue at W. Colfax Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers found a 57-year-old Roselle Park resident was struck by a vehicle while out for a jog.
The driver of the 1996 Chevy was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while unlicensed and the passenger, who is the registered owner of the vehicle was issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive.
No criminal charges were filed at this time but the investigation is still ongoing.
