Authorities are investigating two Sunday night stabbings that may possible be linked, according to police.
Police first responded to Third Street at approximately 10:58 p.m. where they found a 16-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to the back and the stomach.
Shortly after, a 55-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his left forearm was brought also transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Both males were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The 55-year-old man told police he was crossing the street - in the same area as the first victim - when two people who he observed followed him and then assaulted him.
The investigation for both incidents are continuing but authorities believe the two incidents may be related.
Anyone with information or may have witnessed either incident is asked to call Detective Reinaldo Arroyo or Detective James Lane at 973-365-3938.
