Roselle Man, Woman, Arrested in Linden After Altercation

Linden

A Roselle man and woman were arrested Sunday after an altercation at a basement recording studio in Linden.

Police were called to a residence on the 1400 block of Essex Avenue yesterday at 6:04 p.m. for a report of an assault.

The victim, a 23-year-old male resident, told officers that he charged a Roselle man and woman for the use of a recording studio in his basement.

After the session was over, the man complained that he was not satisfied with the recordings and refused to leave.

The resident told him that he had to schedule another session and had to leave. Before the man left, he punched the resident who then called the police.

As officers were standing by while the man and woman left the area, Hyacinthe swung his car door open striking a female police officer and was placed under arrest. He continued to fight and struggle with officers until he could be subdued. His companion, Brown, then charged at the arresting officers screaming and cursing at them and refused to calm down.

Gregory Hyacinthe, 23, of Roselle, was charged with aggravated assault on an officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

He also had a contempt warrant out of Elizabeth.

He was being held on $4,000 bail pending a court date set for January 11th.

Khylah Brown, 19, also of Roselle, was charged with obstruction and released on a summons pending a court date set for January 4th.
