Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating the family of a man who was found dead last month inside his Newark apartment.
On November 20, police were called to a Hawthorne Avenue home by a neighbor who had not seen Zulu Al-Israokwa, 53, for several days. Upon arrival, police found Al-Israokwa motionless on the bed.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The exact cause of death has not been determined but police do not suspect foul play.
Police have tried for the last several weeks to locate any of Al-Israokwa family members but have been unsuccessful. Adding that police believe Al-Israokwa has a brother, John Porter, but they have had no luck in locating him.
