An 18-year-old Sayreville man was arrested Christmas night after he allegedly robbed a pizzeria at knifepoint, according to police.
Police responded to Singas Pizza on Route 9 Christmas night for a report of an armed robbery at approximately 9 p.m.
The suspect reportedly threatened the employees with a knife and fled the area on foot with the day's receipts.
During the subsequent police response, patrols located a male subject matching the description on Ernston Road, who had in his possesion both a knife and the robbery proceeds.
As a result of this encounter, Christopher Dolan-Klein, 18, of Sayreville was arrested and charged with robbery and possesion of a weapon.
He was lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $250,000 bail.
