A man was robbed Christmas afternoon by three men in Newark.
Police responded to Hillside and Avon Avenues for a report of a strong robbery sometime around 5 p.m.
Upon arriving to the scene, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while walking in the area, three black males placed him in a chokehold as they took cash, credit cards, and his cellphone.
The investigation is ongoing.
There were no physical injuries reported.
