Rutgers Newark Police Release Sketches of Robbery Suspects

Rutgers Newark Police have released a composite sketches of two men wanted for robbing a male last Wednesday afternoon.

On Dec. 9 at approximately 5:46 p.m., a robbery took place in the area of University Avenue and Central Avenue in Newark. While walking toward University Ave, on Central Ave, the victim was approached by two black males, who demanded the victim to stop and then asked to see the victim's cell phone.

When the victim stated that he did not own an phone, the suspects told the victim to stand still or he'd be hurt and proceeded to rifle through the victim's pockets. After finding and taking the victim's cell phone, the two suspect fled on foot down Central Avenue towards Washington Street.

Suspect one is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 23, approximately 5'6"-5'8", with a medium build, weighing approximately 130-150 lbs, brown eyes, with a slight beard, and short black hair. (First Picture)

Suspect two is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 25, approximately 5'8"-5'10", with a medium build, weighing approximately 150-170 lbs, brown eyes, and short black hair. (Second Picture)
