Police are investigating how a city man got into an elementary school
this morning after allegedly stabbing himself several times.
Police responded to School 10 shortly before 5:30 a.m., after a custodian found a bleeding man on the third floor of the school.
The man - only identified as a 37-year-old Passaic man - was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed the the man -who lives approximately a block from the school - stabbed himself on his body, neck, chin and lower abdomen with a knife at his home, then walked to the school.
At this time, it's unclear how or why the man entered the school.
