An early morning stabbing that happened in the city's East Ward is under investigation.
Police responded to reports of an injured person in the area of Ferry Street and Christie Street at around 1 a.m. when officers arrived to the scene and located a male victim suffering serious injuries from apparent multiple stab wounds.
EMS transported the conscious and alert victim to University Hospital where his injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
