A shooting that wounded an Elizabeth man in both legs Sunday evening, has police investigating.
Police were called to the intersection of Lowden Street and Westfield Avenue on a report of a male shot Sunday at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old Elizabeth man who sustained gunshot wounds to both legs.
The victim stated that he could not describe the suspects, but that they pulled up to him in a gray Audi as he was walking across the intersection. One of the suspects then opened fire. The Audi then fled north on Lowden Street.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
The Elizabeth Police Department Detectives are investigating the incident.
