Authorities announced the arrest of a Millville man accused of killing a 34-year-old woman and a 3-month-old baby, who were reported missing since Nov. 27.
"It is with deep sadness and regret that the Vineland Police Department announces the missing person investigation has now become a double homicide and recovery investigation."
On Nov. 30, the Vineland Police Department began an initial missing person investigation into the disappearance of 34-year-old Neidy Ramirez and her 3-month-old daughter, Genesis Ramirez.
Saturday (Nov. 28) afternoon, the New Jersey State Police found Ramirez’s vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, abandon on Northbound Route 55 near milepost 45.3.
A collaborative joint investigation between the Vineland Police Department, New Jersey State Police and Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office led to the arrest of Ricardo C. Santiago, 34, of Millville. He was been charged with 2 counts of homicide and is lodged in Cumberland County Jail on $1,000,000 cash bail.
