A fatal fall from a building in Newark has authorities investigating.
First responders rushed to the area of Jay Street at Sussex Ave. shortly before 11 p.m. on reports of an injured person at that location.
Rescue crews arrived to find the victim laying on the ground injured after reportedly falling from a large health care facility building.
Initial reports from the scene indicated that the vicim had fallen about seven stories to the ground shortly before crews arrived to the scene.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital where critical injuries deteriorated into a fatality a short time after the victim arrived to the hospital.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
