Two Pedestrians Injured by Vehicle that Fled the Scene in Newark

Police are searching for a vehicle that left the scene after striking two people in the city this evening.

According to initial reports, two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on Springfield Ave. at South 10th Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. where EMS rushed to the scene to administer assistance to the injured pair.

Police are looking for a two-door white 2011 Infinity G37 that was last seen going westbound on Springfield Ave.

The vehicle was occupied by a female driver and has a reported NJ license plate number "T16-ENT".

The extent of the victim' injuries are unknown at this time.
