Paterson residents escaped unharmed from a fire that tore through at least two multifamily homes this evening.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire shortly after 5 p.m. on the 100 block of North 4th Street.
Upon arrival, occupants (including 19 adults and 15 children) of two multifamily homes self evacuated
No occupants reported any injuries but a firefighter was transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with a minor injury.
The Red Cross responded to assist is the displaced residents.
