Authorities are on the search for two violent armed robbery suspects that struck a gas station in the city overnight.
Police responded to the Exxon Gas Station located in the 200 block of 21st Ave. on reports of an armed robbery in progress that happened at around 4 a.m.
Arriving police officers located a clerk at the gas station who reported being robbed at gunpoint by two black males a short time before police arrived.
According to the clerk, the suspects entered the establishment with weapons drawn and demanded cash and other items. The suspects were only described as two black males who were last seen wearing dark clothing.
The suspects began to violently pistol whip the clerk before they ran in an unknown direction from the scene.
The clerk's injuries were not considered life threatening.
