A violent late night stabbing in Newark has authorities investigating.
Police responded to the 40's block of Gerside Street shortly after 10 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found a victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
The suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to University Hospital in an unknown condition.
The incident is under investigation.
