A violent stabbing that happened just outside of Elizabeth High School has authorities investigating.
Police responded to reports of a person stabbed in the area of Pearl Street and South Street shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Arriving officer located a male victim suffering a non-life threatening stab injury to the torso at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Trinitas Hospital where family members told RLS Metro that the victim is an 18-year-old high school student.
Family members would not elaborate on the motive for the stabbing.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
