Police are investigating a strong armed robbery that happened early this morning in Newark.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Washington Street at around 3 a.m. for a report of an injured person at that location.
Arriving police units found the victim suffering injury from an apparent assault after being robbed then pistol whipped by the suspect.
The incident is being investigated by the Newark Police Department.
