NEWARK –Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that the Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Collier Hall, 41, of Newark.
Authorities said yesterday at approximately 10:16 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of Hawthorne Avenue and Bergen Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Hall suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:40 p.m.
Authorities said, at this time there are no suspects and no arrests.
