A man with ties to Essex County wanted in connection with three bank robberies in Union was found hiding inside Elizabeth motel bathroom last night, according to authorities.
James Glenn, 59, with ties to Newark, East Orange and Orange, wanted in connection with three bank robberies in Union - two at Connect One Bank and one at Santander Bank also on Chestnut Street was taken into custody last night after a tip led police to The Airport Hotel Inn at 853 Spring Street, in Elizabeth.
When detectives entered and searched the room (also occupied by second male), Glenn was found hiding in the bathroom. He was taken into custody without incident.
Police also arrested Jeffrey Myers, of East Orange, for obstruction of the investigation.
Glenn is also a suspect in two bank robberies in Essex County (TD Bank in Orange on Sept. 25 and the Hudson City Savings Bank in Roseland on Sept. 9), according to police.
