A shooting in Newark's Central Ward has police on the scene with one person injured at this time.
Several rounds of gunfire ragout in the 100 block of Prince Street at around 5 p.m. sending first responders to the scene where a male victim was located suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police are looking for a black male last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark shirt, and has marks on his face when he fled the scene.
A crime scene is established and an investigation is underway.
