A pedestrian attempting to cross road in Toms River was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle this afternoon, police said.
The pedestrian - a teenage boy - was in the area of Route 70 and Yale Avenue when he was struck shortly before 1 p.m.
The pedestrian was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with unknown injuries.
Police continue to investigate incident.
